Dino Deliveries

Hello!

Today, on this most sunshiny of spring days, let us dance with the daffodils a-trumpeting, tip-toe through the tip-top tulips and hop happily beneath the blossoms that bloom so beautifully against this bright blue April sky –

Yes, I do believe it is a perfect day to discuss…

…DINOSAURS!

Or, perhaps I should say, my hubby’s Dinosaur Obsession.

Every year for Alan’s birthday, we watch Jurassic Park. This is Alan’s favourite film of all time, because it contains dinosaurs and is BRILLIANT. Plus, it features a T-rex eating a lawyer on the loo* – and who doesn’t want to see that while they’re enjoying a big wodge of birthday cake?

*In case you haven’t seen Jurassic Park, I drew this best bit specially.

Some of you may think that watching Jurassic Park is quite enough dinosaur excitement for one birthday, thank you very much. But no!

As far as Alan is concerned, the more dinosaurs, the merrier – so this was the perfect opportunity for me to write a dinosaur poem and draw a T-rex on roller skates delivering the mail (because dinosaurs make excellent posties, don’t you know!)

DINO DELIVERIES

If dinosaurs managed the mail,
Our letters would never be late;
Cos dinosaurs know
That a van is too slow –
The best way to post is to SKATE!

If T-rex delivered the parcels,
They’d always be neat as a pin –
His arms are so small,
There is no chance at all
That your box will get lobbed in the bin!

It’s this that you need to remember
When signing for all of your post:
Whatever you do,
Give a glowing review –
Or T-Rex will EAT you on toast!
